Faith Kandie is a lecturer and researcher at Moi University and an Iso Lomso Fellow at the Stellenbosch Institute of Advanced Study. She holds a PhD in Natural Science from the Goethe University, Frankfurt Germany (2021), an MSc in Environmental Sanitation from Ghent University, Belgium (2016) and a BSc in Environmental Studies (Environmental Biology and Health major) from Moi University (2012). Her current research interests focus on analytical screening of emerging contaminants including pesticides and pharmaceuticals in surface and wastewater systems in Kenya and the links to schistosomiasis, circularity and sustainability, and renewable energy. Dr. Kandie is also involved with several (inter)national collaborations in countries such as Germany, Sweden, South Africa, France, Tunisia among others. She has published her research widely in several peer reviewed journals and is currently an associate editor at Sustainable Environment and Water Resources Research journals.
